Advisor Ladakh virtually inaugurates Digidoc-Digital


Leh, November 28 (Scoop News)-The Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal virtually launched The Digidoc-Digital Execution of Documents, developed at the Stock Holding Corporation India Limited. The official launching of the Stockholding Digidoc was held at the Civil Secretariat Leh.
Michael M D Sauza, Inspector General of Registration, UT Ladakh (Secretary GAD), Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Santosh Sukhdeve, Deputy Commissioner Leh, all the Registrars (ADCs) and Sub Registrars (ACRS & SDMS) of district Leh and Kargil were present on the occasion. Besides, it was also attended by the concerned officers of Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd. Mumbai and Chandigarh through virtual mode.
Praising the collaborative endeavours of the Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) officials, the Advisor Ladakh termed the Digidoc platform, wonderful initiative and result oriented, where documents can be executed on real time basis irrespective of geographical locations of parties. He further stated that the platform will provide better services to the people of Ladakh.
Stockholding Digidoc platform enables execution of documents/ contracts in digital mode in a seamless manner along with payment of Stamp duty.
Once executed, the digital document is available immediately for usage, making the document execution process fast, simple, convenient and legally compliant. Digidoc aims to reduce processing time, improve public convenience, and promote a paperless document execution process.
Vivek Khurana, from the SHCIL, provided a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on the Digidoc and informed the Advisor Ladakh about it’s functions and objectives of the platform. It is pertinent to mention here that the Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited has been providing e-Stamping services for over 16 years in several States and Union Territories across India. However, in the UT of Ladakh it has been providing its services for the last five years.
