| Police seizes vehicle of notorious drug peddler worth lacs in Awantipora | |
Srinagar, December 10 (Scoop News)-Continuing its operation against drug peddlers, Police in Awantipora have seized vehicle (Four-Wheeler Car) valuing approximately ₹3.30 lakhs, belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Jitender Singh son of Nirmal Singh resident of Gamraj Tral under section 68-Fof NDPS Act 1985.
The vehicle was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of enquiry conducted by SHO Police Station Tral under the supervision of SDPO Tral which has been acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic Substances by the said drug peddler.
Pertinently the said drug peddler is involved in case FIR No. 28/2024 NDPS Act of PS Tral and case FIR No. 139/2021 NDPS Act of PS Awantipora.
This operation reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed the initiative of Police with regard to the attachment of moveable property which was acquired been from illicit trafficking of narcotics by the drug peddlers in the Police District Awantipora.
