| CLWSL expresses Gratitude to H’CEC for Recognition of Bhoti as Official Language | |
Leh, December 10 (Scoop News)- Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Tashi Gyalson,called on a delegation from the Culture and Language Welfare Society Ladakh, led by Dr. Sonam Paldan, President of the Society. The delegation, headed by Executive Councillor for Rural Development Department (RDD), Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, included executive members and alumni of the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS Deemed to be University). The meeting focused on key cultural and language initiatives for Ladakh.
During the meeting, the members extended their heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble Chairman Tashi Gyalson, LAHDC, Leh, for his unwavering dedication and efforts towards making Bhoti an official language. The delegation also expressed their deep appreciation to the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and the Hon'ble Home Minister through the CEC for their support in this historic achievement.
In addition to this, the delegation conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh for playing an instrumental role in the process of recognizing Bhoti as an official language of the Union Territory.
This milestone marks a significant step in preserving and promoting the cultural and linguistic heritage of Ladakh, ensuring that Bhoti, an integral part of the region's identity, receives the recognition it deserves.
