Advisor Ladakh Dr. Pawan Kotwal Reviews Arrangements for 76th Republic Day celebrations
Leh,January 08 (Scoop News)-The Advisor UT Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the 76th Republic Day celebrations across Ladakh at Conference Hall, UT Secretariat, Leh.



As per the schedule, the Republic Day celebrations in Leh will be held at the historic Polo Ground, while in Kargil, the official function will take place at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium.



During the meeting, Dr. Kotwal directed all concerned officials to ensure seamless coordination for the smooth and successful conduct of the event. The Key aspects discussed included Traffic Management to provide a hassle-free flow of vehicles around the venues, provision of clean drinking water for attendees, availability of clean public toilets at the event locations, deployment of health personnel to provide immediate medical assistance if required, arrangements for refreshments, particularly for children participating in the celebrations.



He directed the concerned officers to ensure illumination for all the government buildings, iconic buildings, and other historical places to mark the festivities. He instructed officials to leave no stone unturned to ensure a well-organized and dignified event.



The meeting was attended by Dr S.D Singh Jamwal, DGP; Yetindara M. Maralkar, Administrative Secretary FCS&CA; Michael M. D Souza, Administrative Secretary GAD; Shashanka Ala, Administrative Secretary IT; Bhanu Prabha, Secretary Higher Education; Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhdeve; Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Srikanth Balasaheb Suse and other officers.
