PM Modi interacts with SVAMITVA Scheme beneficiary from Samba
Samba, January 18 (Scoop News)-District Administration Samba today organised live streaming of e-distribution of property cards under the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) Scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here in DC office Commplex.

The event marked another milestone in the government's mission to provide clear property rights to rural inhabitants.

Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, along with other district officers, participated in the virtual session, representing the district's commitment to this transformative initiative.

In a noteworthy interaction during the event, the Prime Minister directly engaged with several beneficiaries, including Varinder Kumar from District Samba, highlighting the scheme's impact on rural citizens.

The SVAMITVA Scheme, a central sector initiative of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, aims to provide rural property owners with "Record of Rights" through precise property documentation using drone surveys and mapping. This innovative approach helps resolve property disputes, facilitates monetization of properties, and enables rural planning.

"This initiative represents a revolutionary step in empowering our rural communities with clear property rights," said Deputy Commissioner Sharma. "The digital distribution of property cards will significantly reduce land disputes and enable rural property owners to use their properties as financial assets."

The Key Benefits of SVAMITVA Scheme are- Creation of accurate land records for rural planning - Reduction in property-related disputes- Enabling rural properties to be used as financial assets- Support for determination of property tax- Creation of survey infrastructure and GIS maps.
