Police facilitates Police community partnership group (PCPG) meeting in Kulgam


Srinagar, January 22 (Scoop News)-In its ongoing process to address the grievances of general public and to identify issues and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police community relation, improve public safety by strengthening trust, Police in Kulgam facilitated a Police community partnership group (PCPG) meeting at village Banimullah Devsar, Kulgam.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, accompanied by ASP NHW Qazigund Kulgam, SDPO Qazigund and SHO Police Station Devsar and was attended by Prominent respectables of Banimullah, Chandergee, Gujjar Basti Banimullah, Malwan, Khaloora, Shogund and other adjacent areas.

While speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam assures community members that all possible steps are being taken by police to deter crime and improve safety of general public. He urged people to work with police so that potential crime hotspots will be identified and prevented at an earliest. He further said that police will hold regular meetings with the community to establish feedback mechanisms to ensure that concerns of general public are heard and addressed and asked people for additional support and services. SSP Kulgam listened the concerns of community members to logically reason out roots of problems.

The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
