Honoring Pulwama's Heroes: Langat Singh College Pays Tribute | |  Muzafarpur, February 14 (Scoop News)-Langat Singh College commemorated the sixth anniversary of the Pulwama attack with a solemn tribute at Gandhi Park. Principal Prof. Om Prakash Roy led the event, honoring the fallen soldiers and expressing the nation's gratitude for their sacrifice. He stressed the critical need for self-reliance in defense technology, asserting that India must develop its own robust defense industry to effectively combat terrorism and safeguard its borders. "Terrorism, in any form, is a threat to humanity, and we must be prepared to face it with strength and resolve," Prof. Roy stated. "We cannot rely on others for our defense needs. A strong and independent defense sector is crucial for our nation's security." He emphasized the rapid pace of change in global defense technology and argued that self-sufficiency is the only way to effectively counter threats, including cross-border aggression. "We must invest in research and development and encourage innovation in the defense sector," he added. "This is not just a matter of national security but also a matter of national pride." Prof. Roy also appreciated the government's initiatives through 'Make in India' toward self-reliance in defense equipment, noting its positive impact on indigenous production and technological advancement. Dr. Rajeev Kumar, the college's NCC officer, recalled the armed forces' decisive response to the Pulwama attack, sending a clear message against terrorism. NCC cadets from the 2/32 Bihar Battalion presented patriotic poems and speeches. A two-minute silence was observed in memory of the martyred soldiers. Faculty members, including Prof. N.N.
