Police Organizes Debate Competition on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ In Handwara

Srinagar, March 12 (Scoop News)- In a concerted effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its impact on society, Police in Handwara organized a debate competition on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Handwara.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who eloquently expressed their views on the growing menace of drug addiction, its adverse effects on youth, and the collective responsibility of society in eradicating this threat. The speakers emphasized the significance of education, parental guidance, and stringent law enforcement in achieving a drug-free India.

Senior police officers, school faculty, and distinguished guests attended the event, commending the students for their thought-provoking speeches. The best performers were honoured with certificates and trophies as a mark of appreciation for their efforts.

Addressing the gathering, a senior police officer reaffirmed Police's commitment to combating drug abuse and urged the youth to actively contribute to spreading awareness. He assured that such initiatives would continue to be organized to educate and empower young minds against substance abuse.
