Three-Day Training on UA(P) Act Concludes Successfully | | 
Jammu, March 26 (Scoop News)- A three-day training program on the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act [UA(P) Act] was successfully conducted from March 24 to 26, 2025, at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu. The training was organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu and Officers from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Jammu & Kashmir, were invited to enhance the knowledge and expertise of law enforcement officers in handling cases under the UA(P) Act.
The training featured a series of informative sessions on key aspects of the UA(P) Act, including the Introduction to the NIA Act, Introduction to UA(P) Act, Offences and Penalties under UA(P) Act, Invoking UA(P) Act, Unique Provisions of UA(P)A, Introduction to Other Scheduled Offences/Connected Offences, Tools of Cyber Forensics, Court Craft, Process of Filing Charge Sheet under UA(P) Act & Supervising Mechanism, and Trial Before Special NIA Court.
A distinguished panel of guest speakers, Sh. R S Choudhary, Consultant; Sh. Suraj Singh, Consultant; Sh. Ram Gopal Sharma, DySP; Sh. Vishal Dwivedi, PP; Sh. Ashish, Sub-Inspector and Sh. P. K. Mengi, Consultant, shared their expertise during the training program. A total of 20 Officers from the rank of Inspector to Superintendent of Police from all districts of Jammu Zone attended the sessions.
The training program was well-received by the participants, who gained valuable insights into the legal and investigative aspects of the UA(P) Act. The initiative is expected to strengthen the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in combating unlawful activities and ensuring effective legal proceedings.
Staff Officer to IGP Jammu, Chief Prosecuting Officer ZPHQ-J, Sr. PO ZPHQ Jammu and other officers attended the sessions, ensuring that the learnings from the program would be effectively implemented across policing operations. ... |
