| District Admin Kargil hosts Iftar farewell for outgoing ADC Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Wani | |
Kargil, March 27 (Scoop News)-District Administration Kargil today hosted an Iftar party at Hotel The Kargil in honor of the outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Wani, to acknowledge his contributions and bid him farewell upon his retirement.
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon; Executive Councillor for Social Welfare, Aga Mujtaba; Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil, Shree Ram R; Joint Director Finance, Iftikhar Hussain; Joint Director Planning, Abdul Hadi; Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil, Dr. Liyaqat Ali Khan; DPO, ICDS, Nargis Banoo; Assistant Commissioner Development, Raziya Khatoon; District Superintendent Handloom, Arifa Iqbal Lone; Headquarter Assistant, Kaneez Fatima; Divisional Forest Officer, Kargil, Mohd Ali, along with other district officers were present during the event.
Addressing the gathering, CEC Dr. Jaffer extended his congratulations to the outgoing ADC on his retirement. He said that completing a career without a negative reputation is an achievement, particularly in the digital age where social media can easily shape public perceptions. He urged district officers to work with dedication and integrity. He highlighted the competency of Kargil’s KAS officers and encouraged them to contribute actively to the region’s development rather than waiting for ideal circumstances.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Kargil Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Wani informed on his professional journey, mentioning that he had served outside the Union Territory for 16 years. He expressed gratitude to the District Administration for organizing the farewell event in his honor.
District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Niyaz Ul Hassanain, praised the ADC’s inspiring journey from Zanskar to the administrative ranks, calling it a milestone for the region.
District Programme Officer (DPO), ICDS, shared her experiences working with the ADC, acknowledged the valuable lessons learned under his leadership.
Accounts Officer, Kargil Development Authority, Shamim Ahmad Wazir, and Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Khanzada Mohammad Usman, also spoke on the occasion, sharing their experiences and extending best wishes on behalf of the district administration Kargil to the outgoing ADC for his post-retirement life.
Later, all the officers and officials expressed warm exchanges of gratitude and appreciation for outgoing ADC, Kargil.
