| Hakeem Yaseen expresses grief over the demise of prominent scholar Peer Bashir-ul-Haq | |
Srinagar, April 19 (Scoop News)- Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former minister, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of renowned religious scholar, author, and poet Peer Bashir-ul-Haq of Watred, Budgam.
In his condolence message, Hakeem Yaseen described the demise of Peer Bashir-ul-Haq as a significant loss to the spiritual and literary circles of Kashmir. He said that Peer Sahib dedicated his life to the promotion of Islamic teachings, Sufi values, and Kashmiri literature. His contributions as a scholar and poet will be remembered for generations to come.
“Peer Bashir-ul-Haq Sahab was a beacon of spiritual wisdom and a guiding light for many. His commitment to spreading the message of peace, brotherhood, and compassion through his writings and discourses has left an indelible mark on our society,” Hakeem Yaseen said.
Offering his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Hakeem Yaseen prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
“The people of Budgam, particularly Watred, have lost a noble soul who always stood for righteousness and moral integrity,” he added.
The PDF President further said that the vacuum created by Peer Bashir-ul-Haq's demise cannot be filled easily, especially at a time when society is in dire need of genuine spiritual guidance rooted in love, humility, and tolerance.
“His teachings must serve as a moral compass for the younger generation grappling with modern-day distractions and ethical confusion,” he added.
