Registration for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 Service Providers begins at Jammu

Jammu, April 19 (Scoop News)- The Labour Department has initiated the registration process for Service Providers associated with the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025.

A helpdesk-cum-registration counter has been set up at the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Labour Sarai, Dogra Hall, Jammu, to facilitate the registration process.

Assistant Labour Commissioner Jammu, Rupali Jasrotia, has urged all ponywallas, palkiwallas, pithus and hawkers intending to take part in the upcoming yatra to get their registration completed at the earliest.

Registration can be done free of charge, upon identity verification. This move aims to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience for all stakeholders.

The department has emphasised timely registration to avoid any inconvenience and to support smooth operational planning for the annual yatra.

Tashi Gyalson in the presence of DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting at the Council Secretariat Leh to streamline tourism operations and ensure effective regulation in the district. The meeting focused on simplifying the Single Registration System for Adventure Tour Operators, Mountaineering Tour Operators, and Travel Agents, while strengthening monitoring mechanisms to curb illegal operations. Discussions were held on facilitating tourism-related services without compromising regulatory oversight. Key points included allowing foreign tourists to visit nearby non-protected areas based on the ecology fee receipt. CEC Tashi Gyalson assured that he would take up the matter of issuing multiple VPN tokens for the portal.It was also agreed that tour operator associations would coordinate with check post personnel for smoother facilitation. Deployment of eco-guards at sensitive locations was discussed, with directions issued to submit a detailed proposal identifying key destinations. Stakeholders also raised the issue of numerous open peaks that remain unnamed and requested the formulation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the same. The use of satellite phones was also deliberated upon. The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Leh; Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Director, NIELIT; AD Tourism, UT Ladakh; District Informatics Officer, NIC Leh; President LTTA and President ALTOA and Executive Members.
