Srinagar, April 25 (Scoop News)- Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, Senior BJP Leader and Member of the Rajya Sabha, today paid tribute to the heroism of Syed Adil Hussain Shah and other brave citizens whose selfless actions saved innocent tourists during the recent Pahalgam attack.
Khatana began his day with heartfelt prayers at a BJP-organized congregation in Srinagar, solemnly remembering those who lost their lives in the cowardly assault on tourists in Pahalgam. He then participated in an all-party meeting at the SKICC to foster unity and resolve among J&K’s political leadership.
Early this morning, Khatana visited the family of martyr Syed Adil Hussain Shah at their home in Poni Bala, offering his deepest condolences and assuring them that the people of Jammu & Kashmir stand united in honoring his sacrifice. Shah’s courageous intervention not only saved lives but also sent a powerful message of solidarity across the region.
“I salute the bravery of Adil Hussain Shah and all those ordinary citizens who rose to protect innocent lives,” said Khatana. “Their actions have set our community on the right path—one of courage, communal harmony, and unwavering resilience against terror.”
Later, Khatana called on the family of the late Lt. Aga Syed Baker al-Moviesi, a respected religious leader who passed away recently, to convey his sympathies and support during their time of grief. He also engaged with numerous deputations throughout the day, listening to their concerns and reaffirming his commitment to ensuring peace and security for all residents.
Khatana extended his gratitude to every citizen of Jammu & Kashmir for “standing as a rock against terrorism” and lauded the exemplary courage shown by ordinary men and women. He urged that those found responsible for the Pahalgam attack be dealt with “the full severity of the law,” emphasizing that justice must be swift and exemplary.
