| Directorate of Agriculture Jammu observes National Voters’ Day 2026 | |
Jammu, January 23 (Scoop News)-To commemorate National Voters’ Day 2026 observed annually on 25 January to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India and to promote voter awareness and democratic participation, a programme was organized today at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture Jammu.
Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta led the National Voters’ pledge attended by the sectoral heads and staff of the Directorate, with participants reaffirming their commitment to uphold democratic values, ethical voting practices and to inspire others to exercise their sacred right to vote.
In his address, Anil Gupta said “National Voters’ Day is a reminder of the power vested in every citizen through the ballot. As responsible stakeholders in public service, we recommit ourselves to fostering democratic awareness, encouraging first-time voters and contributing towards an inclusive and vibrant electoral process. My India, My Vote is not just a theme, it is an affirmation of our collective duty to safeguard and strengthen our democracy.”
The function was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB/Farms), Aman Jyoti Sharma; Deputy Director Agriculture, Central, Sanjeev Rai Gupta along with all sectoral heads, senior officers and staff of the Directorate.
