| BJP J&K felicitates Padma Shri Awardee Brij Lal Bhatt | | for exemplary service to society and Kashmiri culture | 
Jammu, January 28 (Scoop News)-The Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir, led by its senior leadership, met and felicitated renowned social worker and Padma Shri awardee Shri Brij Lal Bhatt, who was conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri in 2026 for his outstanding contribution to society. The delegation was led by Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, and included BJP J&K Vice President Priya Sethi, BJP J&K General Secretary Gopal Mahajan, former Mayor Rajinder Sharma, along with other senior BJP leaders and prominent party workers.
During the interaction, the BJP leaders congratulated Shri Brij Lal Bhatt for bringing pride to Jammu & Kashmir through his lifelong dedication to social, cultural, and spiritual causes. A resident of Kashmir and presently residing at Roop Nagar, Jammu, Shri Bhatt has been working tirelessly for decades in the preservation and promotion of Kashmiri music and culture. His notable contributions through the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial in the Nagdandi Ashram area of South Kashmir, promotion of Yoga, Sanatan values, and active involvement in various social and religious initiatives across shrines in the Valley were especially appreciated.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the Padma Shri conferred upon Brij Lal Bhatt is a recognition of selfless service rooted in Indian ethos. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is witnessing due recognition of individuals who dedicate their lives to social reform, cultural preservation, and national consciousness.
Priya Sethi stated that Bhatt’s work is an inspiration for the younger generation, especially in Kashmir, and reflects the BJP’s belief in strengthening cultural roots as a means to achieve social harmony.
Gopal Mahajan remarked that the Modi Government has consistently encouraged and honored grassroots contributors who work silently for society, culture, and national unity.
Rajinder Sharma lauded Bhatt’s efforts in preserving age-old traditions and spreading positive values, stating that such contributions form the backbone of a strong and united society.
Expressing his gratitude, Brij Lal Bhatt thanked the BJP leadership and shared that his vision has always been to promote social harmony, spiritual awareness, and safeguard the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir for future generations.
