Jammu, February 01 (Scoop News)-Bhawan Nirman Mazdoor Sangh and Marbal workers union jointly held a press conference in which Ashok Choudhary General Secretary BNMS , Mukesh Kumar Yadav General Secretary of Marbal workers union , Chuni Lal Subash Chand, Rama Kant, Surinder Chohan and subash Chander participated and addressed the media while addressing the media persons Sh. Harbans Choudhary senior leader of of BMS he alleged that Building Construction workers welfare Board who have more than 900 crores in its kity functioning is with out full time Chief Executive Officer from the last six months and the functioning of the board has gone bad to worse
As the scheme meant for building construction workers are become stand still due to negligence of Board functionaries whereas its chairman is Honble Chief Minister Sh. Umar Abbdulla who have no time for looking the affairs of the board and unfortunately death claims files from the last more than one year laying pending regarding financial assistances to the widows of construction worker are awaiting approval from Chief Minister being board chairman similarly meritorious students who secure more than 90% marks awaiting special financial award and further thousands of education assistances cases are also awaiting for disbursement due to non releasing of routine funds for education assistances cases
Ashok Choudhary alleged that In marriage assistances cases illogical quarries are being raised which have no locus standi marriage cases are also not being cleared with one or other reasons and it is also pointed out that Marriage certificate suppose to be issued by the Tehsildar office and all these formalities took time and loss of so many mandays of working and time limit has been given for submitting the forms is two months after marriage it should be at least 6 months for applying for marriage assistance after marriage, further if marriage of girl is being solemnized and it is justify to ask to bring NOC from social welfare department whereas what is the justification for seeking NOC form male worker from social welfare department as no any scheme is applicable for male It is also alleged that a customary board meeting is called once in a year and all these issues not taken up only routine budget meeting is held
it is also demanded that board meeting must be held quarterly basis and adequate staff be appointed / deputed for recovery of cess otherwise Board least bother about collection of cess and board should be made accountable for time bound disposal of cases pertaining to financial assistances particularly in death case it should not be more than three months after filing death claim BMS appeal to chief Minister for taking note of workers demands failing which agitation will be started against casual and anti poor attitude of the govt. said in a press Conference ... |
