| 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Program Concludes Successfully at Jammu | | 
Jammu, February 12 (Scoop News)- The 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Program concluded successfully today after a vibrant and enriching seven-day schedule. The program was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat J&K under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, with support from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The exchange program commenced on 06 February 2026 and concluded on 12 February 2026 at Saraswati Dham, SMVDSB Complex, Jammu.
A total of 200 tribal youth from the states of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Maharashtra participated in the program. The participants were accompanied by 20 escorts from Para-Military Forces, ensuring safety, discipline, and smooth coordination throughout the duration of the program.
The event was graced by several eminent dignitaries during different sessions, including Sh. Vikram Randhawa (MLA), Sh. Nissar Butt (State Director, MY Bharat J&K), Ms. Pinki Rani (Under Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs), along with other senior officials and invited guests who interacted with the youth and encouraged their active participation in nation-building activities. As part of the exposure component, participants visited Suchetgarh Border where they interacted with Para-Military officials and learned about border management and national security. They also visited prominent places including Bagh-e-Bahu, Bala Ji Temple, and the hill station Patnitop, gaining cultural and geographical exposure to the region.
The program showcased rich cultural exchange, with Dogri folk culture performances presented by local cultural teams. Participants also took part in a Declamation Contest and Cultural Competition, where they highlighted their tribal traditions, art, and heritage. The competitions were evaluated by subject experts. Winners were awarded mementoes and cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances. All participants were presented with participation certificates and group photographs as a token of remembrance.
Group discussions and interactive sessions were also conducted to promote dialogue, leadership qualities, cultural understanding, and awareness about development initiatives. The entire program was coordinated by Sh. Khushal Gupta, Deputy Director, MY Bharat Jammu, along with APA Sh. Anmol Bajaj, whose continuous supervision and on-ground management ensured the smooth and successful execution of all activities. The concluding ceremony marked the successful completion of yet another impactful edition of the Tribal Youth Exchange Program, reaffirming the commitment towards youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and national integration.
