| ADC Kargil urges Artisans to Avail Govt Benefits and Enhance Trade Quality | |
Kargil, February 28 (Scoop News)-Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho attended an awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme held at Conference Hall Baroo today.
The programme was organised to create awareness among artisans and stakeholders about the benefits and modalities of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, MSME-related initiatives and special focus on providing market linkage, marketing support, toolkit assistance and redressal of issues faced by artisans and beneficiaries.
In his address, the ADC thanked the female participants for their huge turnout and appreciated their enthusiasm. He encouraged them to continue working with the same potential and dedication. He urged the beneficiaries to avail maximum benefits from various Government schemes to become financially sound and free from economic burdens. Stressing on quality improvement, he asked artisans to enhance the standard of their trade and assured all possible support from the district administration.
Earlier, the programme began with a welcome address by Amit Kumar Tamaria, Joint Director & Head of Office. During the technical session, Aman Singh, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, delivered a detailed presentation on PM Vishwakarma, highlighting eligibility, registration process, skill training, toolkit incentives and credit support. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, discussed various MSME schemes aimed at promoting micro and small enterprises.
A presentation on schemes of the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh was delivered by Mudasir Rauf Wani, Functional Manager, DIC Kargil. On the other hand, Tsering Morup, Lead District Manager, Kargil, spoke about bank schemes available for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and elaborated on credit linkage and financial assistance. A representative from RSETI-Kargil also briefed the participants about training programmes for PM Vishwakarma artisans.
