| DC Kargil Reviews Annual Action Plan of Viksit Bharat GRAM-G Programme | |
Kargil, March 16 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Rakesh Kumar today chaired a review meeting regarding the Annual Action Plan under the Viksit Bharat Gram G (VB GRAM-G) programme at the Conference Hall, Baroo.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer PWD, Executive Engineer PHE, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kargil, a representative from the CMO Kargil office, besides Block Development Officers (BDOs) of various blocks.
During the meeting, the BDOs shared the abstract of the Annual Plan under VB GRAM G convergence for the financial year 2026–27.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the departments to ensure effective inter-departmental coordination while preparing the plan. He emphasized the inclusion of disaster preparedness-related works, including repair and maintenance of public infrastructure, plantation drives, land development, and rural sanitation initiatives.
He further suggested incorporating snow and debris clearance works, development of school grounds, and compound walling in the proposed plan.
The DC also asked the representative of the Chief Medical Officer to share details of AAMs so that provisions for Solid Waste Management, fencing, ramps, and other related works could be included in the plan.
Rakesh Kumar instructed the concerned departments to expedite the process, follow up on the proposals, and finalize the plan by March 25 for approval.
