Khelo India Asmita City League Shines in Badgam, Kashmir

Badgam, March 26 (Scoop News)-The Khelo India Asmita City League concluded with great success at the Indoor Sports Hall in Badgam. The event was inaugurated by Shabir Ahmad Dar, Manager of the Badgam Sports Stadium. Over 180 female participants competed in a range of traditional Yogasana event including artistic and rhythmic pair events, as well as individual events such as forward bends, backbends, hand balances, and more. The competition was divided into two categories: under 18 and above 18.

Organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Yoga Asana Sports Association under the aegis of Yogasana Bharat, and in collaboration with the District Badgam Yogasana Sports Association, the event celebrated the talent of young women in yoga. Toiba Nazir and Mufalla Jan were declared the best players of the tournament. Medals and mementos were presented to winners, officials, judges, and guests during the closing ceremony.

Mr. Shakir Riaz Bhat, General Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association, emphasized the promotion of Yogasana among young women in the region. He expressed immense satisfaction with their participation and highlighted their potential to shine at national and international levels. He also extended gratitude to the sports council, especially the venue manager, for their support, as well as to Yogasana Bharat for sanctioning this prestigious league in Jammu and Badgam.
