| End of Naxalism a Historic Victory for Tribal Justice and Development: BJP | | Jammu, April 01 (Scoop News)- BJP J&K UT State Secretary Pawan Sharma today hailed the decisive decline and effective end of Naxalism in large parts of the country as a historic victory for justice, development, and the self-respect of India’s tribal communities. Pawan Sharma said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has taken a firm stand against extremism while simultaneously ensuring inclusive development for the most neglected sections of society.
Pawan Sharma stated that for decades Naxalism inflicted immense suffering upon tribal populations across several regions of India. Instead of empowering them, extremist elements used tribal communities as shields and deprived them of education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and basic infrastructure. He said that the Modi government’s determined policy has broken this vicious cycle of violence and underdevelopment.
According to Pawan Sharma, the success in curbing Naxalism is the result of a well-planned and balanced strategy adopted by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which combined strong security action with massive development initiatives in tribal and remote areas. Roads, schools, digital connectivity, healthcare facilities, and welfare schemes have reached regions that were earlier held hostage by extremist violence.
Pawan Sharma also criticized opposition parties such as Indian National Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist), and other political groups for historically failing to address the root causes of the problem and often misleading tribal communities through appeasement politics. He said these parties lacked both the will and the vision to tackle Naxalism decisively, allowing the problem to grow for decades.
“Today, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation has demonstrated that the answer to extremism lies in development, empowerment, and strong governance,” Pawan Sharma said. He added that tribal communities are now emerging as proud partners in India’s growth story, enjoying opportunities and dignity that were denied to them for generations.
Highlighting the Modi government’s guiding philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” Pawan Sharma said that the empowerment of tribal communities and the eradication of extremist violence reflect the government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development and national unity.
Pawan Sharma further said that the fading shadow of Naxalism represents a new dawn for tribal regions across the country, where peace, progress, and democratic participation are replacing fear and violence. He emphasized that this transformation will remain one of the most significant achievements of the Modi government.
Concluding his statement, Pawan Sharma said that the people of India, particularly tribal communities, will always remember this phase as the moment when decisive leadership and development-oriented governance restored peace, dignity, and opportunity to regions long affected by extremist violence.
