| Director, School Education takes stock of functioning of schools in Kargil | |
Kargil, April 01 (Scoop News)- Director, School Education, UT Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho visited Government Model Middle School (GMMS), Titichhumik and Council Model High School (CMHS), Gongma Kargil in Kargil today to take stock of their functioning.
In GMMS Titichhumik, the Director interacted with staff and students and discussed crucial matters regarding the need for upholding the highest academic standards. He took stock of the infrastructural issues of the school. He also joined the schools gathering in which the results of student elections were announced in respect of the School Captain and Captains of various Houses of the school.
In his address, Kacho urged students to stay focussed on academics and extra-curricular activities and stay away from drugs. They were advised to aim for the stars and also to become responsible citizens of the nation.
In CMHS, the Director joined the Principal and staff in the farewell party hosted in honour of the transferred teachers. He congratulated the new teachers and the previous ones on their transfers and wished them the best for the new assignments.
Kacho discussed important matters of the school with the Principal in her Office. The LAHDC Councillor of Kargil Town, Haji Mohammad Abbas, was also present at the occasion. Various aspects of the functioning of the school were deliberated upon in detail. The need placing additional focus on the CBSE results was also highlighted by the Director.
