Jammu, April 11 (Scoop News)- A significant meeting of Block Presidents of Jammu Rural District Congress was organized by District President Neeraj Kundan. The meeting was chaired by Working President Raman Bhalla,and focused on strengthening the party organization at the grassroots level in preparation for the upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies elections.

Speaking further, Working President Raman Bhalla said, “In the coming days, regards have to go into the elections with doubled energy and strengthen the flag of the Congress party firmly. Along with electoral preparations, we must intensify our agitation against the US Trade Deal which poses a6 serious threat to our farmers and local industries.”
District President Neeraj Kundan directed all Block Presidents to immediately gear up for the upcoming local bodies elections. He instructed them to strengthen the booth-level and block-level organization so that Congress can achieve remarkable success in the elections. He also reiterated his demand for adequate compensation to the hailstorm-affected farmers and assured full support from the Congress party to the farming community.
Former Minister GM Saroori highlighted the importance of Panchayats and Municipalities in building a strong party organization. He said, “Panchayats and Municipalities are the foundation of our organization. All workers and leaders must work unitedly and with complete coordination to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.” He also supported the demand for immediate relief to the affected farmers and backed the call to oppose the US Trade Deal.
Former MLC Ved Mahajan stressed the need for strengthening the Congress organization at the grassroots level and urged all block presidents and workers to connect with the people at the village and ward level. He expressed solidarity with the farmers suffering due to crop damage and supported the intensified movement against the US Trade Deal.
The meeting was specifically convened to strategize for the upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies elections while addressing pressing local issues like crop loss due to unseasonal weather and national concerns such as the US Trade Deal.
