| CEC Kargil Hands Over IT Equipment to Health Department for HMIS Implementation | |
Kargil, April 21 (Scoop News)- The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today handed over IT equipment to the Health Department to facilitate the smooth implementation of the HMIS (NextGen Patient Count) system across various health institutions in the district.
The approval for the allotment and distribution of IT equipment, including desktop computers, printers, and UPS systems, was accorded under the District Capex (Untied Funds) of LAHDC Kargil.
The initiative aims to strengthen digital healthcare infrastructure and ensure efficient data management in health centres.
As per the approved distribution, IT equipment has been allocated to several institutions including PHC Trespone, PHC Pashkum, PHC Mulbek, PHC Panikhar, PHC Tambis, SDH Drass, CHC Sankoo, CHC Padum, and CHC Chiktan. A total of 16 sets of equipment (computers, printers, and UPS) will be utilized to enhance service delivery and streamline patient data reporting under the HMIS framework.
This step marks a significant move towards digital transformation in the healthcare sector of Kargil, aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of health services for the public.
