CPS Students Secure Multiple Top Positions In National-Level Science Event
Aakash Quiz & SKUAST-K Debate Competition
Srinagar, May 09(Scoop News)- Crescent Public School, Naseem Bagh Srinagar, has once again brought laurels to the institution by achieving remarkable success in multiple prestigious academic, scientific and co-curricular competitions held across Kashmir in recent days. Students of the school showcased exceptional talent, confidence, creativity and academic excellence in science exhibitions, quiz competitions and debate events organized by Government & reputed educational institutions and organizations.

In one of the major achievements, students of Crescent Public School actively participated in the mega science event “Curious Minds,” organized under the aegis of the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with SSM College of Engineering.

The event aimed to promote scientific temperament, innovation and creativity among students between the age group of 10 to 18 years. Students from Crescent Public School enthusiastically explored various domains including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Astronomy, Engineering, Infotainment and General Science.

The students delivered outstanding performances in various competitions and secured top positions in different categories. Mohammad Raamin secured 1st Position in the Model Exhibition, while Azeema Khan clinched 1st Position in the Poster Competition. Zain-ul-Abideen secured 1st Position in the Science Aptitude Test and Malik Fahad achieved 1st Position in the Debate Dome competition. Maryam also brought pride to the institution by securing 2nd Position in the “Talk for Teens” category.

The school management appreciated the dedicated efforts of coordinators Er. Bilal Ahmed Reshi and Miss Arshi, whose guidance and mentorship played a vital role in preparing the students for the event.

Adding another feather to its cap, Crescent Public School also excelled in the prestigious Aakash Quiz Competition by securing 1st Position in the Stage-1 Qualifier Round. Competing against students from various institutions, the team demonstrated exceptional knowledge, analytical thinking, teamwork and confidence.

The winning team comprised Mahee, Sadiya and Arjumand, all students of Class 10th, who represented the school with great determination and excellence. The team was mentored by Er. Bilal Reshi, whose continuous support and guidance significantly contributed to their success.

In yet another notable achievement, students of Crescent Public School performed exceptionally well in a debate competition organized by SKUAST-Kashmir on the occasion of World Veterinary Day on the theme “Veterinarians: The Guardians of Food and Health.”

Munzah of Class 8 emerged as one of the youngest participants in the competition and secured an impressive 2nd Position. Maliqa earned appreciation for being the only participant to speak against the motion, displaying remarkable confidence, courage and critical thinking abilities.

The students were guided and mentored by Ms. Batool Shafi. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries including Haroon Rasheed Naik, Director Strategic Planning at SKUAST-K, and Dr. Syed Faheem Bihaqi, ADC Ganderbal.

Speaking on the achievements, CPS Vice Principal Junaid-ul-Shabar Khan congratulated all the students and teachers for their outstanding performances and said that these achievements reflect the institution’s commitment towards academic excellence and holistic development.

He said, “Our students have consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, creativity and confidence in various academic and co-curricular platforms. These achievements are not only a matter of pride for the school but also an inspiration for other students to work hard and pursue excellence in every field.”

He further stated, “At Crescent Public School, we strongly believe that education is not limited to classrooms alone. Participation in science, debate, quiz and innovation-based activities helps students develop leadership qualities, critical thinking, communication skills and self-confidence. We will continue to provide every possible opportunity to our students so they can excel at regional, national and international platforms.”

Vice Principal also appreciated the efforts of the school management, mentors, coordinators, teachers and parents for their continuous support and encouragement towards the students.

Several students who participated in the competitions also expressed happiness over their achievements and thanked the school administration and teachers for their guidance and support.

Mohammad Raamin, who secured 1st Position in the Model Exhibition, said that the competition provided him an opportunity to showcase innovative ideas and improve his scientific understanding.

Azeema Khan termed the achievement as a proud moment and said that such events encourage students to think creatively and confidently.

Malik Fahad, winner of the Debate Dome competition, said that participation in debate activities helps students improve communication skills and broadens their perspective on important issues.

Students Mahee, Sadiya and Arjumand, who secured 1st Position in the Aakash Quiz Competition, said that teamwork, preparation and proper guidance from mentors helped them perform successfully in the competition.

The management of Crescent Public School (CPS) congratulated all the winners and participants and expressed hope that students will continue to achieve greater success in future academic and co-curricular events.
