J&K Police Attaches Residential House of Drug Peddler under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan In Srinagar

Srinagar, May 14 (Scoop News)- Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and narcotics-related activities under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan,” police in Srinagar has attached a residential house along with land worth approximately ₹1.20 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Post Noorbagh of Police Station Safakadal.

The attached property belongs to Adil Manzoor Bhat @ Watson son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Pamposh Colony, Noorbagh, Srinagar, who is involved in Case FIR No. 48/2022 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Safakadal. The accused is presently on bail granted by the Hon’ble Court.

The attachment has been carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985, after obtaining due approval from the competent authority, SAFEMA, New Delhi.

The action was executed by a duly constituted Police team headed by ICPP Noorbagh under the supervision of senior officers, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures and formalities.

Police reiterates its firm commitment towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and warns all individuals involved in narcotics trafficking that stringent legal action, including attachment of illegally acquired properties, shall continue under the provisions of law.

General public is once again requested to cooperate with Police and share any information related to drug peddling or narcotics activities with the nearest police establishment to help build a drug-free society.
