Census-2027: Anantnag set to roll out Self Enumeration Exercise
DC calls for wider public participation
Anantnag, May 16(Scoop News)- As part of the Census-2027, District Anantnag is all set and ready to roll out the Self Enumeration (Digital Mode) Exercise, scheduled from 17 to 31 May 2026, which shall precede the House Listing Operations scheduled to be held from 01 to 30 June, 2026.

In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner (Principal Census Officer), Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, today briefed the media and appealed to the public to participate in the Self Enumeration process through online mode on https://se.census.gov.in.

During the press briefing, the DC informed that as part of the Census-2027 Exercise, the Government has scheduled the Self Enumeration Digital Mode Exercise from May 17 to May 31, 2026 which will be followed by House Listing Operations from June 01 to June 30, 2026. He said the census exercise is aimed at collecting accurate demographic and household data for effective planning and policy formulation. He urged the general public to cooperate with the enumerators and ensure timely and correct submission of information during the survey process.

Dr. Bilal also informed that provisions for self-enumeration have been incorporated to facilitate citizens and make the process more transparent and convenient. He stressed upon the importance of public participation in ensuring the successful conduct of the census operations.

The DC further appealed to residents to extend full cooperation to the field staff and abide by the guidelines issued for smooth completion of the exercise.

ADC (District Census Officer), Vikas Ahlawat, ACR (Nodal Officer Census), Tariq Ahmad Malik and other concerned officials were present during the media interaction.
