| Youth Participants of Viksit Bharat Vibrant Village Programm | | Engage in Interactive Sessions and Educational Field Visits in Leh |
Leh, June 06 (Scoop News)- The third day of the Viksit Bharat Vibrant Village Programme (3–15 June 2026) featured a series of interactive sessions and educational field visits aimed at broadening the participants’ understanding of governance, border development, local industries, and educational opportunities.
The day commenced with an interactive session with Dr. Ankh Subramani, IPS, Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Leh. During the session, all participants introduced themselves and shared their backgrounds. Addressing the gathering, the Director General highlighted the objectives and significance of the Vibrant Village Programme and emphasized the crucial role of youth in strengthening border communities and contributing to the vision of a developed India.
On the occasion, Ms. Tajamul Ara, State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Jammu & Kashmir, felicitated the Director General as a token of appreciation for his valuable guidance and support. She also delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to ITBP for facilitating the interaction.
Following the session, participants were taken on a field visit to a Pashmina processing unit, where they gained firsthand exposure to the production and processing of Ladakh’s renowned Pashmina wool. The visit provided valuable insights into the region’s traditional craftsmanship, local economy, and the importance of preserving indigenous industries.
Later, the participants interacted with the Secretary, Higher Education, Union Territory of Ladakh. The interaction focused on educational development, skill enhancement, career opportunities, and youth empowerment initiatives being undertaken in the region. The participants actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable perspectives on higher education and professional growth.
The day’s activities offered a meaningful blend of learning, exposure, and engagement, enabling participants to better understand the socio-economic and developmental landscape of Ladakh. The programme continues to serve as a platform for fostering leadership, civic responsibility, and national integration among the youth.
