Police Conducts Comprehensive Mock Drills to Strengthen Yatra Security Measures in Pulwama


Srinagar, June 18 (Scoop News)-In preparation for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 (SANJY-2026), Police in Pulwama, in coordination with CRPF and other agencies, conducted comprehensive mock drills at multiple locations across the district to assess operational readiness and enhance security preparedness.

The exercises were conducted along the NH-44 stretch from Galander to Kandizal Crossing, as well as at Kakapora Railway Station and Railway Halt Station Ratnipora. Personnel from Police, CRPF, various specialized units, emergency response services, medical teams and other stakeholder agencies actively participated in the drills.

The mock drills focused on testing inter-agency coordination, communication systems, response mechanisms, area domination and contingency preparedness through various simulated security and emergency scenarios.

All participating agencies actively took part in the exercises, and the objectives of the drills were successfully achieved. Necessary directions were issued to further strengthen preparedness and ensure seamless coordination during SANJY-2026.
