| Masoodi urges opening of Pampore-Khanda Ring Road | | Suggests alternative amid Nowgam Bypass bridge repair |
Srinagar, June 18 (Scoop News)-Hasnain Masoodi, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pampore, and Former Member of Parliament, has urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary to open the Pampore–Khanda sector of the Ring Road for public use.
The formal request comes amid severe traffic congestion and commuter hardships caused by ongoing repair and maintenance work on the Nowgam Bypass Bridge. The infrastructure work has significantly disrupted daily travel and delayed vehicular movement along the vital corridor.
Justice Masoodi emphasized that opening the Pampore–Khanda stretch on a temporary basis would provide immediate relief to the general public, bypass the current bottleneck, and ensure smoother traffic flow during the repair period. He expressed optimism that the government would take swift action in the larger public interest to ease the daily commute hassles due to the repair work.
