| Empowered women are the strongest force behind BJP's expanding footprint in Kashmir:Ashok Koul | | Srinagar, July 13 (Scoop News)-J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul chaired a meeting of the State Office Bearers and District Presidents of BJP Mahila Morcha from Kashmir at J-53, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
The meeting focused on strengthening the organizational structure of the Mahila Morcha, enhancing its outreach, and ensuring the effective implementation of the party's programmes across Kashmir.
J&K BJP Secretary Mudasir Wani, Mahila Morcha Vice Presidents Rumaisa Rafiq, Sunita Raina, and Dr. Fareeda were present during the meeting.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the meeting, said that women are at the heart of the BJP's organizational strength and have played a decisive role in transforming the political landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. He stressed that the Mahila Morcha must intensify its grassroots engagement and ensure that every eligible woman is made aware of the welfare initiatives launched by the Narendra Modi-led government.
"The Modi government has brought a new era of women-led development by ensuring dignity, security, financial inclusion, healthcare, education, and self-employment opportunities for women. From Ujjwala Yojana and PM Awas Yojana to Mudra, Jan Dhan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Lakhpati Didi initiatives, every scheme reflects the government's unwavering commitment to women's empowerment. Our responsibility is to ensure that these benefits and opportunities reach every household in Kashmir while further strengthening the party's organizational base," Koul said.
Koul asked the Mahila Morcha leaders to remain actively connected with women at the grassroots, identify local issues, and effectively communicate the BJP's vision of inclusive development, good governance, and women-centric policies.
Rumaisa Rafiq reaffirmed the commitment of the Mahila Morcha to expanding its outreach among women across Kashmir. She said the Morcha would continue organizing awareness programmes to ensure greater participation of women in social and political activities.
Sunita Raina emphasized that women workers are the backbone of the party's public outreach and pledged to further strengthen booth-level coordination, enabling the organization to connect more effectively with women from every section of society.
Dr. Fareeda said that the Mahila Morcha will actively promote awareness about the Central Government's welfare schemes while encouraging women to become partners in the journey of a developed, self-reliant, and empowered Jammu & Kashmir through active social and political participation. ... |
