| LG Inaugurates New Office Building of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department | | at Kurbathang, Kargil | 
Kargil, July 27 (Scoop News)-Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, today inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), UT Ladakh at Kurbathang, Kargil.
The new office building has been constructed at a cost of ₹860.67 lakh, with the PWD (R&B) Division, Kargil serving as the executing agency. The facility is expected to strengthen the functioning of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department and improve the delivery of essential public services in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was held in presence of Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, ECs of LAHDC, Kargil, Administrative Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Shri Rahul Sharma (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Kargil among others.
The event was attended by senior officers of the UT Administration, district officials, representatives of the department and other dignitaries.
During the visit, Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, UT Ladakh, Tahir Zabdavi accompanied the Lieutenant Governor and briefed him on the facilities available in the new building, the functioning of different wings of the department, and the services being provided to the public. The Lieutenant Governor interacted with the officers and officials and appreciated the department’s efforts towards improving public service delivery.
