| Mera Yuva Bharat, Leh organises "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" programme | |
Leh, July 31 (Scoop News)- Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Leh-Ladakh, successfully organised the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" programme at PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Leh, to create awareness among young people about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage them to contribute towards building a healthy, responsible and developed India.
Administrative Secretary, Education and Skill Development Department, Bhanu Prabha, graced the programme as the Chief Guest. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and youth, who actively took part in a series of creative and educational competitions on the theme of anti-drug awareness.
Addressing the gathering, the Administrative Secretary highlighted the importance of empowering young people with the knowledge and values needed to make informed, responsible life choices. She stressed that youth are the driving force behind the vision of Viksit Bharat and called upon students to remain focused on education, develop healthy habits and stay away from substance abuse. She also appreciated MY Bharat for organising the awareness programme and promoting a culture of health, discipline and social responsibility among the younger generation.
The programme featured a range of activities, including competitions and awareness sessions, designed to educate participants about the adverse physical, mental and social consequences of drug addiction while encouraging them to become ambassadors of a drug-free society.
The programme also highlighted the collective pledge by all participants to reject substance abuse and work together towards building a healthier and stronger nation. Where Students expressed their commitment to spreading the message of a "Nasha Mukt Bharat" among their peers, families and communities.
During the valedictory session, Chief Guest Bhanu Prabha, along with the State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat, Leh-Ladakh, distributed prizes and certificates to the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all students. The dignitaries encouraged the youth to become ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and work collectively towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Principal, JNV, Yogendra Singh, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest and all stakeholders for making the event a grand success. She reiterated MY Bharat's commitment to empowering youth through awareness, participation and nation-building initiatives.
The event successfully reinforced the message that a drug-free youth is the foundation of a developed, healthy and prosperous India.
