| Tourism Department Conducts Tourist Unit Registration Camp at Kargil | |
Kargil, August 06 (Scoop News)-In continuation of the ongoing outreach and facilitation programme, the Department of Tourism, Kargil, today organized a Special Tourist Unit Registration Camp at the Tourist Reception Center/Office of the Assistant Director Tourism, Kargil.
The camp was conducted to facilitate on-the-spot registration of tourism establishments and provide technical guidance and handholding support to stakeholders regarding the online provisional and permanent registration process in compliance with the provisions of the Ladakh Tourist Unit Unified Registration Order, 2026.
Tourism stakeholders, including owners and operators of hotels, guest houses, homestays and travel agencies, participated in the camp and availed registration and handholding support from the Department. Officials assisted applicants with documentation, eligibility requirements and other registration formalities through the official Ladakh Tourism portal: www.tourism.ladakh.gov.in.
The Department reiterated that registration of tourist units is essential for ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework, maintaining service standards and enhancing the credibility and quality of tourism services in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Stakeholders who have not yet completed their registration have been requested to do so at the earliest through the online portal or by visiting the office of the Assistant Director Tourism, Kargil, during office hours for any assistance related to the registration process.
