Mendhar, August 11 (Scoop News)-BJP leader and State Vice President of the ST Morcha, Zulifqar Ali Mumtaz, on Monday organised a grand Tiranga Rally and “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign in Mendhar town of Poonch district as part of the nationwide celebrations leading up to Independence Day. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from party workers, youth, women, local residents, and social activists, who marched through the main streets of Mendhar carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans. The event was organised to promote the spirit of nationalism, unity, and public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative launched to encourage citizens to proudly display the Tricolour at their homes and institutions. Speaking on the occasion, Zulifqar Ali Mumtaz said that the national flag represents the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and serves as a symbol of the country’s unity, integrity, and democratic values. He urged people from all sections of society, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in the campaign and celebrate Independence Day with pride and respect for the nation. He emphasised that the Har Ghar Tiranga movement is not merely a campaign but a collective expression of love for the country and a tribute to those who laid down their lives for India’s freedom. During the programme, volunteers distributed national flags among residents and appealed to them to hoist the Tricolour at their homes ahead of August 15. The rally passed through several prominent localities of Mendhar, attracting attention from shopkeepers, students, and passers-by, many of whom joined the procession.
