Demand for Strict Action Against Teacher Accused of Alleged Rape of Minor Student.

Jammu, August 24 (Scoop News)-The Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) has termed the alleged rape of a 14-year-old student an extremely serious, unfortunate and shameful incident and has demanded the strictest action under law against the accused teacher, Khalid Hussain.
ABRSM State President Rattan Sharma expressed deep concern over the incident and urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to ensure a fair and speedy investigation. He further demanded that, if the allegations are proved, the accused should be dismissed from service and awarded the strictest punishment as per law.
He stated that a teacher holds a highly respected position in society as a mentor, guide and character-builder. An alleged incident of such a grave nature involving a minor student by a teacher is deeply disturbing and casts a serious shadow on the reputation of the entire teaching community. Schools must remain safe spaces where children can learn, grow and develop without fear. Any compromise with the safety and dignity of children is unacceptable.
The Mahasangh has urged the Government to strengthen child-protection mechanisms in all educational institutions, ensure effective monitoring of teachers’ conduct, strengthen grievance-redressal systems, and guarantee immediate action on complaints raised by children.
