| DC Sham Chairs Review Meeting with Officers/Officials of Rural Development Department | |
Khaltse, August 28 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), today chaired a review meeting with officers and officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD), District Sham, at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Sham.
Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Leh, Shri Jigmat Rafstan (JKAS), was also present during the meeting.
The meeting was convened to review the physical and financial performance of various schemes being implemented by the Rural Development Department across the district, including SDP, SSP, District Capex, departmental works, MGNREGA/VB-G RAM-G and the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).
At the outset, ACD Leh briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the various schemes being implemented in District Sham and apprised her of their overall physical and financial performance across all blocks.
The ACD directed the concerned officers and officials to complete all pending works within the stipulated timelines and submit weekly progress reports.
During the meeting, the Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Khaltse, Skurbuchan, Singaylalok and Saspol made detailed PowerPoint presentations before the Deputy Commissioner, highlighting the progress and implementation status of various schemes and developmental works in their respective blocks.
The Block Programme Managers (BPMs) of NRLM also apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the physical and financial progress of various activities being undertaken under the mission in their respective blocks.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of the progress of ongoing works and schemes, along with the status of financial expenditure and physical achievements under different programmes.
DC Sham stressed the need for timely completion of all ongoing works and effective utilisation of allocated funds. She directed the concerned officers to ensure close monitoring of projects at the field level and maintain transparency and accountability in the implementation of developmental schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner further emphasised that all works should be executed strictly in accordance with approved guidelines and within the stipulated timelines, with priority accorded to projects that directly benefit the rural population. She directed all concerned officers and officials to ensure visible improvement and better progress before the next review meeting.
The meeting was attended by BDO Khaltse Dr. Zakir Hussain, who is also looking after BDO Skurbuchan and Singaylalok, BDO Saspol Manzoor Hussain, Panchayat Inspectors, Panchayat Secretaries, BPMs of NRLM, JEs and other concerned officials.
The concerned officers and officials apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the progress achieved under various schemes and highlighted issues, wherever applicable, requiring timely intervention and resolution. ... |
