| DC Drass Visits Army Goodwill School, Interacts with Staff and Students | |  Drass,September 10 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS), today visited Army Goodwill School, Drass, where he reviewed the school infrastructure, interacted with students and teachers while taking stock of the academic and co-curricular activities.
During the visit, the school authorities briefed the Deputy Commissioner in detail about the functioning of the institution, existing infrastructure, academic activities and various facilities available for students. he inspected different sections of the school, including classrooms, the music room, MI room and laboratory.
He interacted with students in their classrooms and encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and grow up to be responsible citizens of the country. There are avenues and opportunities in Ladakh for all kinds of career opportunities, he added
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Army and the school administration in providing excellent educational opportunities and essential facilities to local children. He also lauded the dedication of the teachers and emphasized their important role in motivating and guiding students towards a bright future. He stressed the importance of setting higher academic targets and encouraging students to make the best use of the opportunities and facilities available to them. He also highlighted the importance of inter-school competitions in Drass, observing that such platforms provide students an opportunity to interact, learn from one another, build confidence and showcase their talents.
The school authorities informed the Deputy Commissioner that the school currently has a total enrolment of 287 students and is prepared to accommodate more children the shortage of space notwithstanding.
