Sacred Kalash Yatra Sets the Tone for 57th Shat Chandi Mahayagya at Paloura

September 10 (Scoop News)-A deeply devotional atmosphere prevailed at Baba Sidhgoria Dham, Paloura, on Thursday as the 57th Shat Chandi Mahayagya got underway with a traditional Jal/Kalash Yatra, marking the commencement of eleven days of religious observances at the revered shrine.

The ceremonial procession brought together a large number of devotees, with women carrying decorated Kalash as part of the sacred ritual. The participants proceeded from Baba Sidhgoria Dham towards the canal near BSF Paloura and, after performing the prescribed rituals, returned to the Dham.

The approximately two-hour procession was marked by devotional participation and traditional religious practices, setting the spiritual tone for the Mahayagya and the series of programmes scheduled during the festival.

The celebrations are being conducted under the guidance of Mahant Shri Kuldeep Singh Ji, Paloura Wale, with the religious programme continuing till September 20.

The inaugural day's proceedings also included Mandal Pujan and Yagya, conducted during the morning hours from 9 am to noon. The rituals formed an important part of the commencement of the Shat Chandi Mahayagya and were attended by devotees who gathered at the Dham to seek blessings and participate in the religious ceremonies.

A major attraction of the eleven-day programme will be the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, which will be delivered by Mahant Shri Dr. Satyanarayan Das Ji Maharaj. The spiritual discourse will commence on September 14 and continue through September 20, with daily sessions scheduled from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The programme will also feature Hawan Pujan and Sant Samelan, bringing together religious activities and spiritual discourses as part of the annual observance at Baba Sidhgoria Dham.

The organisers said the festival is intended to provide devotees an opportunity to participate in collective worship, listen to spiritual discourses and seek the blessings of saints during the sacred period.

The religious celebrations will culminate on September 20 following the completion of the scheduled rituals and programmes.
