| Two-day Int'l Conference on Energy Systems concludes at NIT Srinagar | | Srinagar,October 06 (Scoop News)-The Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, in association with Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar, hosted a two-day International Conference on Modelling, Simulation and Optimization of Energy Systems (MSOES-2026) on October 5 and 6.
The conference brought together researchers, academicians and experts working in energy modelling, simulation, optimisation, renewable energy and sustainable energy systems. Experts from Dubai, the United States, Sri Lanka, Canada and Malaysia participated in the conference through online and offline modes.
The conference was organised by Dr M. Hanief, Chairman, along with Dr Manoj Kumar, Dr Dinesh Kumar Rajendran from NIT Srinagar, Dr Sivaraj R from NIT Jalandhar and Dr Dharmendra Tripathi from NIT Uttarakhand as Organising Secretaries.
Director, NIT Srinagar and Patron of the conference, Prof. Anurag Mishra said the event provided a platform for researchers to exchange ideas and explore technological solutions for cleaner, more efficient and sustainable energy systems.
Prof. (HAG) G.A. Harmain, Co-Patron, NIT Srinagar, said advances in modelling and simulation were increasingly important for designing and improving the performance of complex energy systems.
Dr M. Hanief, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Srinagar and Chairman of the conference, said the event encouraged interdisciplinary research and strengthened academic collaboration in emerging areas of energy engineering.
Dr Dinesh Kumar Rajendran, Organising Secretary, said participation by experts from different parts of the world gave the conference a strong international character. He said the combination of online and offline participation enabled wider exchange of ideas and opened avenues for collaborative research in modelling, simulation and optimisation of energy systems.
Dr Sivaraj R., Organising Secretary, NIT Jalandhar, said mathematical modelling and optimisation could help address the growing complexity of energy systems and support more efficient utilisation of energy resources.
The organisers said the conference also provided young researchers and scholars an opportunity to present their work, interact with experts, and explore collaborative research in sustainable and efficient energy technologies.
The two-day conference ended with fruitful discussions and an initiative for future collaboration, with 10 keynote adress 34 invited speakers, and 78 presentation in hybrid mode.
