| IUST’s Urdu Centre organises educational outreach program to University of Kashmir | |
Awantipora, October 14 (Scoop News)-Centre for Promotion of Urdu Language and Literature, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), organised its first educational outreach programme on Tuesday to explore the Main Campus of the University of Kashmir with an objective to familiarise students with the rich literary and cultural legacy of its Department of Urdu and other academic repositories.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Afshana, Head of the Centre. The students were warmly welcomed by the Head, Department of Urdu and faculty members. The visit featured an engaging literary discussion with students and scholars on Urdu language and literature, with a special focus on the role and impact of digital technologies in promoting Urdu.
As part of the programme, students also visited the Allama Iqbal Library and the University Museum, gaining valuable insights into the preservation of knowledge, history and cultural heritage.
The initiative aimed to enrich students’ academic perspectives and strengthen their appreciation of Urdu’s literary legacy through meaningful academic interaction and experiential learning.
