| Congress misleading people, BJP will counter every false narrative: Billawaria | |
Jammu, October 30 (Scoop News)-J&K BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, slammed the Congress and its alliance partners for misleading the public through baseless allegations and creating confusion about democratic institutions, instead of engaging in constructive and fact-based politics.
MLA Rajiv Jasrotia, District Seh-Prabhari Sanjay Baru, and District President Updesh Andotra also shared their views.
Addressing a gathering of intellectuals and prominent citizens at a seminar organized under the campaign “Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao” (Save Democracy, Eliminate Anarchy) in Jasrota Assembly constituency of Kathua district, Billawaria said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is scaling new heights of development, good governance and national progress. However, instead of acknowledging the country's achievements, Congress and its allies are resorting to misleading narratives and politically motivated allegations to create distrust among the people.
Billawaria said that democracy thrives on facts, accountability and constructive debate, not on repeated attempts to undermine the credibility of democratic institutions. He challenged the Congress to present its arguments on the basis of facts rather than spreading confusion and making baseless allegations.
Billawaria asserted that the BJP would reach out to every section of society and expose misleading claims through facts and logical arguments. “The BJP is committed to strengthening democratic values and will respond to every false allegation with facts. Our strength lies in our direct connect with the people and our commitment to truth, transparency and good governance,” he said.
Rajiv Jasrotia, while sharing his views, said that democracy becomes stronger through informed public participation and responsible political conduct. He urged citizens to remain vigilant against misleading propaganda and recognize the importance of development-oriented governance.
Sanjay Baru said that the BJP would continue its outreach among prominent citizens and different sections of society to counter misinformation and strengthen public confidence in democratic institutions.
Updesh Andotra emphasized the importance of intellectual engagement and public awareness, stating that such programmes provide an effective platform for discussing democratic values and national issues.
