Congress rejects Trump's statement,Urges PM to disown it

Jammu, July 23, (Scoop News)-Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed great concern over the statement of US President, Donald Trump, to mediate on Kashmir issue quoting PM Modi for suggesting mediation by him.

Rejecting any scope for third party mediation on Kashmir in view of ‘Shimla Agreement’, JKPCC leader, Ravinder Sharma, has strongly reacted over the statement of US President, which is totally unacceptable to the nation but the serious thing is that

Trump has named PM Modi for seeking third party mediation by him. This is very unfortunate that US has tried to meddle into the bilateral issues between India and Pakistan. More unfortunate is that even after 24 hours, Prime Minister has not come out openly to reject the utterances of Trump, Prime Minister has not even briefed the Parliament and did not address the nation.

The nation can’t tolerate this that any nation can dilute the consistent Indian stand on Kashmir, reiterated in ‘Shimla Agreement’ and parliament resolution of 1994.

JKPCC has said that Smt. Indira Gandhi got the best diplomatic victory in Shimla, after dividing Pakistan in war 1971. The Pakistan was bound for ever to resolve all outstanding issues bilaterally by signing ‘Shimla Agreement’.

During 1971 war, US threatened to send its 7th fleet for aid of Pakistan but the Iron lady Smt. Indira Gandhi did not succumb to any pressure and partitioned Pakistan.

Again, during Pokhran Nuclear test also, under the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee, US was very uncomfortable but India rejected all such pressures and went ahead.

Now when US President made a very dangerous statement on Kashmir, why Prime Minister has not responded to Trump's statement, the mode and manner it deserves.

He should have immediately responded and rejected the utterances of Trump. The entire nation is behind the Prime Minister Modi to reject such attempts of US to internationalize the Kashmir issue....
