Srinagar, October 31 (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Thursday paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister of India Smt.Indira Gandhi on her 40th Martyrdom Day and highlighted her supreme sacrifices for the Nation.
Congress Leaders and workers in an impressive function held at Srinagar Congress Office under the chairmanship of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President Tariq Hameed Karra remembered Former Prime Minister Smt.Indira Gandhi on her 40th Martyrdom Day in which senior party leaders and hundreds of workers including frontal organizations participated and highlighted the supreme sacrifices and services of Smt Indira Gandhi.
JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra while paying floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Smt Indira Gandhi recollected her supreme sacrifices and great contributions to the inclusive development of India. Karra highlighted her selfless services and her struggle to bring the Nation at par with fast developing countries in the world. The iron lady was known for her valour and decisions, especially those she had taken to safeguard the Nation from external and internal threats and other challenges, he said.
Indira Ji made supreme sacrifices for the Nation & people and never compromised on the sovereignty and integrity of India. She was a symbol of sacrifices and was credited for making India a powerful Nation, Karra added and said the Martyred Prime Minister took the prestige of the Nation to the heights in every respect and worked tirelessly for empowerment of every section of the people living in the country.

Indira Ji was a leader of masses who always protected people’s rights, her sacrifices and selfless services shall always be remembered, Karra said and told the Party cadres to follow the footsteps of Indira Ji and work towards strengthening and serving people to the best of their ability. We have lost a great and visionary leader in the Martyrdom of Indira Ji, he said.
