Kargil, November19 (Scoop News)- Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today flagged off a bike rally as a part of series of events on the celebration of 76th year of Yom-e-Fateh organized by Kargil Sentinels at Helipad Kargil.
During the event Brigadier Prateek Prashar, Commander121 Infantry BDG; Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Senior Superintendent of Police Kargil, Shree Ram R; besides officers and officials from Army were present during the flag off ceremony.
While addressing the gathering, the CEC Kargil congratulated the Kargil Sentinels for organizing Yom-e-Fateh to honor the exemplary valor and bravery shown by the Indian Army in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty. The CEC also remembered the Army officials and jawans who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
Dr Akhoon hailed the efforts of the Army in maintaining the cordial relation with civilians in Kargil which has enabled to establish a positive environment. CEC Kargil also said that the Indian Army has been always at forefront to help the locals through various welfare works like providing good education through Sadbhavana, Super 30 NEET coaching for students, skill training in various sectors. He said such welfare steps for the civilians has always been fruitful and has helped to shape the careers of many youth in their respective fields.
The CEC expressed optimism that the cordial relationship with the Indian Army would continue to strengthen and more collaborative initiatives will be taken for the welfare of society.
