Jammu, February 08 (Scoop News)-The Unati Agri Allied Marketing Multi-State Cooperative Society Limited (UAMMCL) successfully hosted Sehkar Samwad 2025 at its headquarters in Talwara, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab, under the banner of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025. The event gathered cooperatives from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir, marking a historic step toward strengthening the cooperative movement and driving grassroots-level economic empowerment.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Satish Sharma, Minister of Transport, Food & Civil Supplies, Youth Services & Sports, and IT Jammu & Kashmir while Shri Karamvir Singh Ghuman (MLA, Dasuya, Punjab) attended as the Guest of Honour. Chief Guest Shri Satish Sharma emphasized the importance of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and called for deeper collaborations between cooperatives, government institutions, and private enterprises. He praised UAMMCL’s pioneering work and proposed replicating such cooperative models in Jammu & Kashmir and other states to enhance grassroots-level economic empowerment.

Shri Satish Sharma concluded the event by commending UAMMCL’s efforts, calling it a "model of cooperative excellence" and stressing the potential of cooperatives in contributing to Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The event has become a beacon of hope for future cooperative collaborations, fostering rural prosperity and technological innovation for a sustainable and inclusive cooperative ecosystem across India.

The event saw the participation of leaders from NABARD, PACS, IFFCO, and NAFED, who engaged in discussions on cooperative sustainability, digital transformation, and leveraging government schemes. A notable highlight was the launch of the Drone Yatra initiative, demonstrating how drone technology can revolutionize farming, enhance agricultural productivity, and optimize supply chains for cooperative farmers.

The cultural dance drama, Unati Ki Betiyan, symbolizing the role of women in cooperative economic empowerment, further emphasized the event’s focus on inclusive progress. The success of Sehkar Samwad 2025 set the stage for collaborative efforts between cooperatives, industry, and government institutions, laying the groundwork for a multi-state cooperative movement.

The presence of senior cooperative and industry experts, including Dr. S.S. Marwaha, Dr. Arun Chandan, Dr. Alkesh, Shri Sanjeev Kashyap, Shri Ashish Aggarwal, Shri Muneshwar Chander, Shri Suresh Rangara, and Shri Umesh Verma, enriched the discussions with their vast expertise in cooperatives and industry integration.
