Awantipora, April 04 (Scoop News)-The Centre for AYUSH Sciences and Health Centre at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir, in collaboration with the Directorate of AYUSH, Budgam District, organized a free medical camp at the Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-din Wali Shrine (Alamdar Memorial Shrine) in Charari-Sharief. The camp was conducted by a team of doctors from IUST and the Directorate of AYUSH Kashmir, providing essential healthcare services to the community.
Key activities included free medical consultations, health awareness sessions, basic health screenings, and the distribution of free medicines. More than 450 patients benefited from the camp, including 220 men and 230 women from various parts of Kashmir, seeking treatment for conditions such as respiratory illnesses, hypertension, diabetes, and joint pain. The management of the Alamdar Memorial Shrine and local residents appreciated IUST’s commitment to community outreach and social responsibility, urging the university to continue such impactful healthcare initiatives in the future.
