Khidmat-e-Awaam Outreach Programme Held at Shakar-Chiktan and Yokma Kharboo

Kargil, March 12 (Scoop News)-A public outreach programme titled “Khidmat-e-Awaam” was successfully organized today at Shakar-Chiktan and Yokma Kharboo in Shakar Chiktan Subdivision of Kargil District, witnessing significant participation from local residents as well as officials from various government departments.

The programme was organized by the District Administration with the objective of promoting good governance and ensuring the delivery of government services at the doorstep of the people. The initiative was conducted under the directions of the Chief Secretary of Ladakh, as part of the ongoing district-wide outreach programmes being held under the aegis of Khidmat-e-Awaam.

The programme was convened under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jahangeer Akhoon. During the interaction, residents from the area actively participated and projected several developmental demands. Prominent issues raised included the shortage of medical staff at PHC Shakar, construction of a community hall at Shakar, extension of the Lalung–Sando road, and installation of a mobile network tower in Ayat Mohalla of Yokma Kharboo.

Officials from various line departments interacted with the public, listened to their concerns, and assured appropriate follow-up action. The programme provided an important platform for direct engagement between the administration and the local population.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to strengthening public service delivery and ensuring that government services reach every corner of the district through such outreach initiatives.
