Jammu, April 20 (Scoop News)-Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital (SVMMCH), Ambphalla, Jammu today organized a Free Vitamin D3 Screening Camp in collaboration with Abbott India Ltd. at the Ortho OPD Complex. The camp was held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and received an encouraging response, wherein 65 patients, along with their attendants and hospital staff, availed the benefit of the free screening services. The initiative aimed at spreading awareness regarding Vitamin D3 deficiency and promoting preventive healthcare.
The camp was graced by the esteemed presence of President Sh. Amar Chand Gupta, Sh. B.B. Gupta Sr. Vice President, Sh. B.S. Jamwal (Retd. JKAS) General Secretary, Dr. Jatinder Gupta Secretary, Sh. Subhash Chander Gupta Retd. Judge, Dr. Sachin Gupta Treasurer, Sh. Shanker Dutt Sharma Member, Dr. Brij Mohan Gupta Member, along with senior doctors and hospital administration.
Dr. Rajesh Gandotra Sr. Ortho Surgeon SVMM highlighted the importance of Vitamin D3 for bone health and immunity and encouraged regular screening, while Dr. Sham Jurangal Sr. Ortho Surgeon SVMM added that awareness and timely diagnosis are essential to prevent complications related to deficiency.

Medical Director Dr. Arvind Kohli emphasized that Vitamin D deficiency often remains unnoticed but can have serious long-term effects. Medical Superintendent Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal stated that the hospital will continue to organize such initiatives for the benefit of staff and patients.

In a statement, the duo extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and solace to help them endure this immense loss. They also wished a speedy and full recovery to those injured in the accident.
