Jammu, April 22 (Scoop News)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, led by its President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma, paid heartfelt floral tributes to the innocent civilians martyred in the cowardly terror attack in Pahalgam at Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Jammu, to mark the first anniversary of the tragic incident.
BJP National Secretary & MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana, BJP Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan, Priya Sethi, and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Surjit Singh Salathia, Sham Lal Sharma, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Yudhvir Sethi, Arvind Gupta, Devyani Rana, Shagun Parihar, Surinder Bhagat, and Mohan Lal Bhagat, Secretaries Arun Sharma, Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, District Presidents Nand Kishore Sharma, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, and Rinku Choudhary, Mahila Morcha President Neha Mahajan, and other senior leaders also paid tributes on the occasion.
Floral tributes were laid and a two-minute silence was observed in memory of the victims, reflecting the party’s deep respect and solidarity with the bereaved families.
Sat Sharma, while paying the floral tributes, strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack, stating that such cowardly acts are a direct result of the continued support and sponsorship of terrorism by Pakistan. He asserted that the nation stands united against terrorism and will never bow down to such acts of violence. Highlighting India’s firm response, he said that under the decisive leadership of Narendra Modi, the Indian Army delivered a befitting reply through Operation Sindoor, showcasing India’s strength and resolve on the global stage.
Dr. Narinder Singh also paid rich tributes to the martyrs and said that the BJP stands firmly with the affected families. He stressed that the bravery and precision of Indian Armed Forces have set an example for the world, reaffirming that any attack on innocent Indians will be met with decisive action.
Ashok Koul stressed that the party workers will continue to work at the grassroots level to strengthen national unity and expose the nefarious designs of anti-national elements. He further added that the collective resolve of the nation will defeat terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the region.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the sacrifice of innocent civilians will never be forgotten and reiterated the commitment of the government to ensure peace and security in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that the Modi-led government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and continues to take strong measures to dismantle terror networks.
